On December 29, 2009, Arianna Huffington posted Move Your Money: A New Year's Resolution.
To paraphrase Huffington, the idea is simple: If enough people who have money in one of the big four banks move it into smaller, more local, financial institutions like credit unions, then collectively we, the people, will have taken a big step toward re-rigging the financial system so it becomes again the productive, stable engine for growth it's meant to be.
Amy Goodman, of Democracy Now!, profiled the More Your Money Campaign here.
Dan Mica of the Credit Union National Association posted Consumers Are Moving Their Money to Credit Unions on the Huffington Post about the importance of credit unions as an alternative to the big banks.
