Chances are real good that a phone call to Ernestine would have fulfilled these dreams.

Ernestine is an automated system that you can communicate with 24 hours a day using any touchtone telephone.

The security of your membership is your Access Code which we encourage you to keep as your secret. To request an access code or to change to a new one, call Member Service at (831) 425-7708, option 6 during phone hours.

Here are some of the actions you can take using Ernestine:

• Find out your balance for any of your savings, checking, loan, or Visa accounts
• Get the amount of a check and the date that it cleared
• Learn the amount and date of recent deposits and withdrawals
• Request that a cashier's check be mailed to you (payable to you, the primary signer)
• Make a loan or Visa payment from your savings or checking account
• Transfer funds from one of your accounts to another
• Transfer funds from your membership to another membership (both memberships need to sign a form to permit this action)
• Make a cash advance from your Visa account to your savings or checking account
• Find out the interest or dividends paid

Service Codes:

Each of the actions referred to above has a specific Service Code, a one- or two-digit number that you enter from your phone followed by the # sign. The Ernestine system gives you clear prompts to follow to complete the actions you desire. Ernestine will give you a list of all the Service Codes if you enter 81#. You can also get a business-size card from our offices that describe all of the Service Codes along with other tips.

If you are a frequent user of Ernestine, you'll want to know this tip. You don't need to have the service codes memorized to complete an account operation using our phone system. You can simply dial Ernestine (427-5200) and when asked to enter a service code press 0# for a guided menu. If you can't remember the phone number for Ernestine, you can also always call the SCCCU main line, 425-7708, and then press 4 and you will get transferred to Ernestine.
