Privacy Policy
SCCCU is committed to providing quality financial products and
services that best suit the needs and goals of our members.
In doing so, we would like our members to know that we have
made it a high priority to protect your personal information.
SCCCU adheres to the following privacy policy:
SCCCU uses only the minimum personal information required
in providing products and services to our members. This means
that we only ask for information that we need and no more than
that.
SCCCU will protect your personal information. We
currently use high-level security controls to prevent unauthorized
access to personal records, to ensure accurate communication
and transaction information, and to protect confidentiality.
When necessary we will implement additional security coding
techniques to further protect your personal information.
Members will always have access to their personal
information for review and to make any changes necessary for
accuracy.
SCCCU does not share any information unless it is
absolutely necessary and you have our word that we will never
sell member information to telemarketing firms. The circumstances
in which we do share information are when we need to comply
with government regulations, when we report transaction
experiences with credit agencies such as Experian and ChexSystems,
and when we disclose information about you, with your permission,
in order to conduct transactions you request.
When we find it necessary to share any information, we
only work with companies that follow strict confidentiality
requirements. Under no circumstances are any of our partners
authorized to use your information in any other way than in
relation to the SCCCU product we are providing.
What members can do to help:
Protect your account numbers, card numbers, PINs or
passwords. Do not keep your PIN with your ATM or credit card
which provides easy access if your cards are lost or stolen.
Always use caution when disclosing your account numbers
or social security number to anyone. Official SCCCU staff will
always have access to that information and will not need to
ask for it.
Finally, be sure to keep your address and phone information
with us current.
If you have any questions about our privacy policy, please feel
free to contact us.
